Show Review – Van Wilks at The Hideaway – Saturday March 24, 2012

By Chris Harkness for MM55productions

Van Wilks has long been one of my personal favorites and his recent appearance at The Hideaway re-affirms my appreciation… His performance was awesome and the energy level almost blew the top off that old roadhouse… From his flawless performance of original tunes like “Bleeding for You” and “BoysTown” and a version of the Iconic 1971 “Traffic” song “The LowSpark of High Heeled Boys” the crowd was treated to one of those rare evenings when the planets perfectly align and all is well with the world for an instant…

I am happy to see more of the really great guitarists returning to the smaller more intimate venues… There is nothing better than sitting right up front in a small venue as a truly masterful artist performs not more than an arms length away…

If you are a fan of truly gifted guitarists then Van Wilks should definitely be on your Bucket List!!
Brant Lee Croucher – Friday February 17, 2012

I can’t say enough about Brant Lee Croucher… Brant has a commanding stage presence with a world class presentation of well crafted songs and superb musicianship… Anyone fortunate enough to catch this Brant Lee Croucher show at The Hideaway will no doubt remember the experience fondly for years to come… Brant and his Band, featuring the lovely Lainey Balagia on harmony vocal, performed flawlessly for a full house at The Hideaway…

Brant is one of those rare performers born into a confusing and troubling time with a message expressed through his music that sheds an often positive and always enlightening spin on the Human Condition… I am certain that Brant Lee Croucher is destined to leave an indelible mark on the worldwide music scene… Any true fan of live music should see Brant Lee Croucher…
